Scenic Cruise
We set off mid to late afternoon through the dappled forest with the intentions of reaching the top of Kuertunturi. If the weather is against us and the sun is not shining then have no worries, the top of Kuertunturi is quite the spectacle on its own; capped with what we like to call “popcorn Trees”

Ice Fishing
Ever fancied drilling a hole in the ice and dropping a baited hook through to see what happens? That’s Ice Fishing! We ride out to the lake by snowmobile where your guide will teach you all you need to know about ice fishing. Once the lesson is done, it’s your turn. Clear the snow, drill your hole, bait up and fish!
Arctic Char perhaps or maybe Perch… Who knows.
While you endeavour to outwit the aquatic life, your guide will be happily preparing a fire and something warm to drink. If you land a big one, you could grill it over the fire or even take it home for dinner. Either way we will have sausages and other food for you to indulge in.

Akas 360°
2 fells on either side of Akaslompolo, Ylläs and Kuertunuri are the perfect vantage points to get a 360° view and to see and understand the true beauty of Lapland (weather permitting of course). What better way to get there than by snowmobile. A fun excursion and a chance to test your abilities on a snowmobile as you get to ride your own machine on tracks, lakes and up and down hills. On the Husky Intro we head to the farm by snowmobile. Meet the mushers and learn from them how everything works. Once we are all up to speed we will head out on a 9 km husky ride through pristine, snow-covered wilderness.
When we get back to the farm you will have a chance to ask all the questions you’ve been wondering about whilst we sit around a warm fire and enjoy some hot drinks and cookies.

Northern Light Pursuit
A night time snowmobile tour which in itself is a whole new experience, but when it’s topped off with the amazing Northern-Lights dancing across the sky, then you have something to cross off your bucket list.

Reindeer Farm Life (By Snowmobile)
A step back in time, upon entering the gates at the reindeer farm you will go back to the old traditional methods of transportation up here in Lapland. The harnessed reindeer are waiting to take you on a 2,5km ride through the forest. You get to drive your own sleigh and when you get back you can feed and interact a bit with the reindeer. After that you will be taken into an old kota to enjoy some coffee or homemade berry juice and cookies all whilst listening to some fascinating old tales and the function of the reindeer year.

Lappish dinner in a kota (By Snowmobile)
A brisk snowmobile ride through the forest to awaken your appetite for a tasty Lappish dinner in a wilderness hut. After dinner and hearing stories about the nature and history of Lapland we will take a relaxing ride back. This trip takes place in the evening to increase the chances of seeing the spectacular Aurora.

Reindeer and Snow Village Medley (By Snowmobile)
Take time to be astounded by just a few of the wonders Lapland has to offer,
Reindeer farm AND the Snow village in one tour.
We will start off by heading to the reindeer farm, either by bus or snowmobile.
Once there, we will meet the farm owners who will treat us to an amazing experience on their reindeer farm. Lassoing, harnessing, sleigh riding and feeding are just some of the things we will get to try. At the end we will sit down in a warm cabin with coffee or tea and listen to how life is for the Sami, based around the reindeer year.
From there we will make our way over the Lainio river to the spectacular Snow village where we can walk around and admire the ice sculptures and ingenuity in and around the snow village.
We will finish off by sitting down in their warm restaurant for a hearty soup lunch before heading back.

Swedish Frontier
This is one for the snowmobile enthusiast. We head off towards our Swedish neighbors and just before the border we will stop for a bite to eat and a chance to warm up. After lunch, down to the river we go… across the ice and up the other side into Sweden.
A little longer on the track and then off into the deep stuff, here you will be able to try some powder riding. Hopefully by the time you are ready to come back you will be ship-shape and pumped for the next winter X-games.

Quest for Hell Canyon
The Quest for Hell Canyon takes us on a journey by snowmobile through forests and over wetlands to reach our destination, Pakasaivo. Otherwise known as “Hell of Lapland,” this is a 1km long ravine lake that has a very mysterious history and holds many secrets. Once used as a place of worship by the Sami, it is believed that sacrifices were made in and around this lake and there are beliefs of mythical creatures living in the waters.
You will get to hear some stories about the history of the lake before going into a traditional Lappish kota where your guide will cook up a storm over the open fire.
Then we eat, chat and warm up a little before taking the scenic route back.

7 Fells Round
Adventure, endurance, and a little self reflection can be experienced on this longer full day tour.
We start off our adventure in the morning by preparing our machines and having a small briefing. Start up and roll out. We have approximately 135km through great forests, vast wetlands, and frozen lakes to cover, as we encompass the 7 fells. Somewhere along the way we will stop for a lunch break. We will then continue and end by summiting the top of the tallest of all 7 fells, Yllas. Upon arriving back at the safari house, we can debrief and bask in the glory of knowing that you have achieved such a great accomplishment.

Approximately 135km
- Child age is 12 years and under.
- Children may be passengers on a snowmobile at the child price as long as they are over 140cm but the adult will have to pay for the single drive supplement to create the passenger space.
- Drivers must be 18 years of age and possess a valid drivers license which must be carried with them when operating a snowmobile.
- Drivers will not operate a snowmobile under the influence of alcohol or drugs. (Due North Safaris has a 0% BAC Tolerance)
- All drivers and passengers must respect the guide’s leadership and respect all applicable rules during the tour.
Drivers are responsible for their machine. This means in case of an accident or damage to the machine there is a self liability cost of a maximum €1500. Damage and fault will be assessed by the guides upon returning to the safari house. To reduce the €1500 self liability to a maximum of €350, a self Liability waiver is available for €25 per driver per tour. The self liability waiver must be purchased before the tour and is only available for tours on our week schedule. The self liability charge (€1500 – €350) in case of damages must be paid at the Due North Safaris office directly after the safari. All snowmobile tours include snowmobile, fuel, thermal outfit, helmet, guiding, insurance and catering mentioned in the tour description.
